Syllabus
Course Description 9th Grade World History will guide students through pivotal events in history that have made global impacts. Students will analyze both the causes and effects of various events as well as make educated predictions regarding the subject matter. Students will be asked to apply many concepts learned in other classes as to adhere to the Common Core Standards.
Course Rational This course is designed to allow students the platform to analytically examine the impacts of past events, systems, choices and circumstances that have in effect altered the present. Students will sharpen their ability to evaluate and present learned information.
Assessments Students will be assessed on a weekly basis. Assessments will include but are not be limited to quizzes, chapter tests, unit tests, midterm, final exam and performance based projects
All work is due on the designated date. Handouts and posted homework can be downloaded from this site please see the menu.
Students are expected to take responsibility for their learning and organization. Each chapter's work can be download into Google Drive.
Expectations
- Use the restroom before class
- Be on time (most assignments are timed)
- Come to class prepared everyday
- Respect everyone in the virtual class everyday
- Record all assignments and keep up with all due dates. Download the handout and print it out if necessary.
- Be properly dressed
- If you break the rules handle the consequences in a mature manner

Management Plan Rules
Students will have access to all lectures for future review. If a student is asked to leave the virtual class for whatever reason, parents as well as admin will be notified and that student must review the missed information at another time.
